Poor Edison was found on the side of the road by the highway patrol - he had been hit by a car, and was badly injured. They called us at Callaway Hills, and we immediately drove out to pick him up and rush him to the vet. Both of his hind legs were broken, and required surgery to mend. He was also very thin and full of fleas. But with some rest and lots of love, he's just fine now. We're SO glad someone found him in time, so we could help him have a second chance at a wonderful life.
Edison is very, very sweet and loving, but he is shy with people he doesn't know, and he is a little afraid of having his collar grabbed. He was housetrained when he arrived.
Edison loves to be hugged and petted, and he especially loves to have his belly rubbed! He is a calm, mellow boy who gets along very well with cats and most other dogs. He also behaves very nicely when on a leash. Edison may require a little extra patience and training by his new person, but he will repay that effort a hundred fold. Just look into his sweet face and see all the love there, waiting for the right person to bring it out. Edison is about 4 years old.

Our $50.00 adoption fee includes spay or neuter, microchip, and basic vaccinations. Local laws may require you to have the rabies vaccination re-administered by a licensed veterinarian. All of our dogs are tested for heartworm and receive heartworm preventative. All of our cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV.
