SPECIAL NEEDS-Poor little Peyton had a very rough start in life. He was in pitiful shape when he first came to the shelter, nearly hairless with a terrible case of mange. He also has one lame foot that kind of turns in on itself.
But lots of TLC, medicine and good food have transformed the little guy. His fur is all grown in now, and he's a very handsome little fellow. His foot is completely normal now, too, and doesn't slow him down a bit. Unfortunately, he did continue to have some medical problems, which resulted in the removal of one kidney. He's been doing great since then, but is now listed as "special needs" due to his rather extensive medical history. He loves to play and be cuddled, and is just a dandy little dog. We don't really have any idea what kind of dog he is, but he looks like he might have some boxer in him. It's hard to tell! Peyton is about 8 years old.

Our $51.00 adoption fee includes spay or neuter, microchip, and basic vaccinations. Local laws may require you to have the rabies vaccination re-administered by a licensed veterinarian. All of our dogs are tested for heartworm and receive heartworm preventative. All of our cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV.
